Are you ready for a new challenge? Are you looking to develop your project management, service improvement and leadership skills? An exciting opportunity has arisen within UHS Child Health for a Project Leader - as part of the Martha's Rule NHSE national pilot project. This 9 month funded secondment is open to staff currently working in a clinical role. This role will be based on 7.5hrs / week.

Following a successful application UHS has been awarded an NHS England funded project to incorporate patients and relatives worries and concerns into our deteriorating patient escalation policy and processes. 

You will work alongside and support the Lead Nurse for Acuity to design, develop, implement and evaluate this exciting project across all paediatric in-patient areas within UHS.  

You will be at the forefront of shaping our services through this trust wide improvement that is designed to put patients first and embodies UHS’s core values.

Working alongside the Lead Nurse for Acuity, divisional and care group colleagues, the post holder will be responsible for projects aligned to the Martha's Rule pilot project objectives.  

You will need motivational skill, working closely with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, clinical and non-clinical and where appropriate the wider healthcare community.  

You will need experience of influencing behaviour & enthusing others to implement change in often challenging situations. 

You will work closely with the Paediatric Outreach service who are responsible for receiving & responding to any calls regarding worries & concerns from patients, families & carers.

The post holder must be well motivated and able to work using their own initiative with minimal direction.   

This role requires some knowledge and experience in the application of service redesign, project management and Quality Improvement tools and techniques.
