We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious band 5 respiratory sleep/Long term ventilation and research physiologist to join the paediatric sleep physiology department at Southampton Children's Hospital. We are one of a handful of comprehensive paediatric sleep centres in the UK serving a population of 3.5M covering a large geographical area. We are looking for a  physiologist with an interest in both clinical and research aspects of sleep and ventilation

The department consists of a team of physiologists and nurses who work closely with our long term ventilation team. There is a 24/7 clinical home and inpatient service. This runs ventilation titration nights which the postholder will contribute to. There is an active research agenda with several ongoing studies. All team members are supported to present and submit research for publication. The postholder will with support provide research leadership for funded grants and other studies ensuring they are conducted within the good clinical practice framework. Their development will be supported.
