We are excited to advertise two senior clinical fellow posts in general paediatric surgery at Southampton Children's Hospital. One position is for one year, starting as soon as possible and the second is a 6 months contract starting from October 2026. 

You'll join a team of six registrars, one senior registrar and one research fellow in a busy department of seven general paediatric surgeons and three paediatric urologists. 

We are a large tertiary referral centre with a strong track record of research and publications as well as a well renowned established teaching programme with optimal patient care at the forefront of our ethos. 

The senior fellow will provide high-quality surgical care to infants, children, and adolescents under the supervision of the consultant paediatric surgeons. The role includes the assessment, diagnosis, and management of elective and emergency paediatric and neonatal surgical patients, alongside active participation in clinical governance, teaching, research and service development.
