An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse to join the medicines safety team. This is a sought after permanent position for someone with exceptional communication skills, curiosity and a desire to learn.
You will be expected to direct and implement trust wide change to improve medicines safety. Working closely with the Consultant Pharmacist for Medicines Safety you will develop your leadership skills and put them into practice. You will be expected to contribute at the Trust Medicines Safety Group presenting information both verbally and in written form.
As Medicines Safety Nurse you will deploy your skills to improve reporting and learning in medicines safety, primarily within medicines administration. Providing feedback to prescribers and nurses, supporting reflection and identifying strategies and system changes to help improve medicines safety.
The role will also entail managing and supporting trainee pharmacists and pharmacy technicians rotating into the team. This requires experience of audit, supervision and training. You will need to be highly organised and be able to plan education sessions.
The Medicines Safety Team is a supportive team of two pharmacists and a pharmacy technician, we value the knowledge and expertise of the medicines safety nurse to provide a holistic approach to medicines safety.
