The Urology Cancer Nursing Team at University Hospital Southampton (UHS) are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Urology Cancer nurse to join us as a Prostate Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality care and improving the experience and outcomes for people living with and beyond a diagnosis of prostate cancer. You’ll be a key part of a well-established, supportive and friendly team of Urology cancer nurse specialists and support workers, based in our purpose-built Urology Centre with access to dedicated equipment and specialist services.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the care of patients diagnosed with both localised and advanced prostate cancer, acting as their key worker throughout the pathway and into survivorship. The role involves providing clinical expertise, coordinating care, supporting shared decision-making, and offering ongoing advice, education and emotional support to patients, families and other healthcare professionals.

You’ll need strong communication skills, sound clinical knowledge in Urology or oncology, and confidence working autonomously while also being a collaborative team player. Previous experience in a cancer CNS or similar nurse led role is desirable.

As a tertiary referral centre for urological cancers, UHS provides expert care to a wide range of complex Urology cancer patients across the region. If you're looking for a rewarding next step in your nursing career, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
